About Us

Tri-Cities ROP Educational Foundation was established in 1999 to offer financial assistance and support to Tri-Cities Regional Occupational Program on its mission to provide and maintain the highest quality career-technical education available to the students of the communities they serve.

The distinguished Educational Foundation Board is comprised of seven members who live and/or work in Whittier, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs, and surrounding communities, and who voluntarily serve and advocate for the advancement and achievements of student education and career success.

The Foundation Board meets quarterly at the ROP Center and hosts the annual Evening of Excellence event in late spring.

Evening of Excellence

Each year, Tri-Cities ROP and Tri-Cities ROP Educational Foundation host An Evening of Excellence, a ceremony that recognizes the exceptional achievements of ROP students. In the spring of 2015, nearly 60 students were honored and received certificates and scholarships at the event. The students were selected by their ROP instructors for having demonstrated outstanding performance, achievement, or improvement in their course of study.

These are difficult economic times. Over the years, State budget cuts have greatly impacted funding to education, including programs such as Tri-Cities ROP. The Educational Foundation was established to help fill the void where educational funds have been severely stretched.
