Quick Assessment Test-Allows you to choose three interest areas that best describe you.

Unsure about your interest? Take the Interest profiler test, which will give you your top three interests. [Ex. I got Artistic, Investigative, and Realistic]. You can also view different occupations that fit your interest!

Skills Profiler- This is a 35 questions test that provides you with a summary of skills you possess and occupations that match those skills.

The work importance profiler lets you discover how much you value achievement, independence, recognition, relationships, support, and working conditions in a job. This test will introduce you to jobs that reflect your values. Once you have a list of jobs that catch your interest, explore them further or ask your college and career counselor for advice!

Career Zone California also provides you with profiles for colleges and universities all over the U.S. They have helpful links, which will allow you to explore different majors offered and understanding tuition and cost. Similarly, they provide profiles for training and apprenticeship programs such as Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Automotive, Carpenter, Electrician, Plumber, etc.

 

O-net Resource Center

O-net Resource Center can link you to mynextmove.org which can help you search for careers and provides an interest assessment test to help you get started if you are unsure about what career pathway to take.

Career One Stop

Helps you explore careers, salaries, and benefits and once you have an idea as to what career path you wish to pursue you can begin a job search or education and training search.

Another great resource to explore the 15 Career Pathways! This site will “help you make decisions about the right courses to take in high school and community college so that you have the opportunity to turn that passion of yours into a great job and a great future.”

CCC Apply

CCC Apply is the statewide online admission application center for California Community Colleges. This amazing resource answers your questions about the application process, financial aid and they even have a section dedicated to parents.

Salary Surfer

Salary Surfer provides “comparative information about the earnings of recent graduates who received an award in a specific program area at California community colleges.”
