Course Description
Digital Photography I is a comprehensive course that covers the sensory, formal, expressive, and aesthetic properties of photographic art. Students will delve into the history and development of photography, exploring its connections to other art forms and disciplines. The course focuses on equipping students with the terminologies and techniques of black and white and color photographic prouction using digital cameras. Students will have the opportunity to work with more advanced photographic equipment, such as industry-recognized mirrorless cameras, specialized lighting, and professional software. They will gain a deeper understanding of modern digital cameras, learn industry-leading software, and develop their own distinctive personal style. Students will also pursue individual interests and learn how to critically evaluate t heir work. Students will establish a strong foundation in creating a workflow for capturing and manipulating digital imagery, and essential skill sought after by the industry. Additionally, the course emphasizes the ability to connect photography with diverse disciplines and professions.
