Course Details

This course prepares students for entry level positions as dental assistants. This course will introduce students to all phases of dentistry to include Law and Ethics, Infection Control, and General dentistry. Students are introduced to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards for infection control and hazard communication. Students also learn Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the Healthcare Provider and how to manage emergencies that may occur in the dental office. dental sciences, dental laboratory procedures, equipment care and preparation, patient education, general office procedures, emergency procedures, and dental specialties. Related dental terminology is studied. Career development skills are also taught. Successful students will master the competencies necessary for entry-level employment in a dental office or clinic. This course requires 160 hours for internship/externship at a dental office.

  • Current influenza, HepB Vaccinations and COVID-19 Vaccinations

  • Social Security Card or ITIN
Course Fee
