Additional Programs for Adults
Tri-Cities ROP provides programs designed for eligible adult individuals from specific target populations who need supplementary support services. Currently, four courses are available, and the descriptions of these courses are provided below for your convenience. Interested candidates are encouraged to reach out at (562) 647-8109.
These programs offer digital instruction in both English and Spanish.

Small Business Application
The Small Business Applications program aims to introduce participants to the tools and processes required to operate or support a small business.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will:
- Know how to use a word processor properly.
- Be able to use a spreadsheet to perform office tasks.
- Tips on starting a business. Understanding the role of Accounting, E-commerce, and Social Media Marketing in a company.
- Understanding the role technology plays in the modern workplace.
- Know how to navigate the internet and communicate via email browsers and artificial intelligence basics.
Program Length: 12 weeks.

Residential Electrical Boot Camp
The Residential Electrical Boot Camp program aims to introduce participants to the functions, tasks, and procedures required to maintain and repair a residence’s electrical system.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will:
- Be familiar with residential electrical techniques and processes
- Be able to identify proper tools and equipment used in residential electrical systems
- Be able to prepare for repair and maintenance tasks safely
- Be familiar with primary residential electrical systems
Program Length: 12 weeks.

Auto Repair Boot Camp
The Auto Repair Boot Camp program aims to provide participants with an overview of the automotive repair field. The student will learn about the essential systems that keep an automobile running smoothly and identify possible causes of malfunctions.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will:
- Be familiar with the modern Automotive Repair Industry
- Be able to identify proper tooling and repair processes
- Be able to prepare for vehicle maintenance procedures safely
- Be familiar with primary automotive systems
Program Length: 12 weeks.

Cake and Pastry Design and Decoration Boot Camp
The Cake and Pastry Design and Decoration Boot Camp program aims to provide services such as entry-level cake decorators and bakery assistants.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will:
- Know how to use, care for, and store tools and equipment used to decorate cakes & pastries.
- Be able to clean and sanitize a food preparation environment properly.
- Know how to safely handle food and prepare food that will not harm those who consume it.
- Be familiar with pastry decorating techniques.
Program Length: 12 weeks.
